Dr.-Ing. Ayman Elnaas

Dr.-Ing. Ayman Elnaas completed his PhD in Solid Waste Management at the University of Rostock, Germany. At CDM Smith, he works as a technical Project Engineer in the inter­na­tional sector, focusing on integrated waste management and sustainable solutions. He brings extensive expertise in waste management, including planning, designing, tendering, and construct­ing waste facilities. Moreover, Ayman Elnaas has in-depth experience in waste collection, trans­porta­tion, and treatment. Currently, he is leading the Labour Intensive Integrated Solid Waste Management project in Jordan, financed by the German government through the KfW Development Bank. The project aims to construct a state-of-the-art Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) plant in Jordan’s capital, Amman. The MBT is designed to minimize the required landfill volume, operate in an envi­ron­men­tally friendly manner, and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Addi­tion­ally, Ayman Elnaas serves as a Project Engineer on several integrated waste management projects in Egypt and Georgia.
