Katja Amstätter
Katja Amstätter holds a degree in chemistry with a focus on environmental chemistry. Moreover, she received her doctoral degree in geomicrobiology at the University of Tübingen, Germany in 2008. Subsequently, a scholarship at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute gave her the opportunity to spend two years at the Environmental Technology Department. There, she was able to gain exciting insights into innovative remediation techniques.
Since she is with CDM Smith, Katja Amstätter has been involved in more than 40 projects as a specialist in environmental chemistry. Currently, the focus of her project work lies in handling complex permitting procedures for data centers in Frankfurt. She works as senior consultant in the field of environment/energy and as head of knowledge management. With her structured and organised working style, she is constantly contributing to the success of major projects, including complex chemical questions at PFAS contaminated sites.
Katja's favorite part of her job is the collaborative and creative process of developing solutions with her colleagues. This aspect of her work continuously challenges and inspires her, driving her professional and personal growth.
