Jonathan Medd
Jonathan has over 30 years’ experience in a wide range of industries including construction, mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, Defence, land development, hazardous waste, water and wastewater across Australia. He is a Victorian EPA appointed Environmental Auditor for Industrial Facilities and Contaminated Land. Jonathan specialises in contaminated environments and groundwater management. Jonathan has been a Technical Director for permitting or construction of Melbourne Metro, East West link, Westgate Tunnel and North East Link projects.
Jonathan's areas of expertise:
- Client advocacy and regulatory closure including development of strategic “road maps” to guide clients through the investigation and risk mitigation / management process.
- Feasibility assessment of groundwater risk for construction projects and their potential for impact on design schedule and cost.
- Innovative investigation, risk mitigation and remediation techniques for soils, soil vapour and groundwater to reduce cost and improve project efficiency.
- Strategic development, design and permitting of engineering solutions to mitigate environment impacts.
- Integration of contaminated environment risk management with design outcomes to realise asset value and sustainable development opportunities.
