“Our ability to work closely with our clients to solve their infrastructure needs and improve our communities is like scoring the winning goal every day,” says Chris Korzenko. “Our staff are always committed to addressing our clients’ needs and it is truly inspiring when I see our teams working passionately to meet and exceed their expectations.”
Chris has been with CDM Smith for almost 25 years. During his career he has accumulated a wealth of broad expertise from municipal wastewater evaluation and design to alternative delivery for energy efficiency improvements. With a specific focus on energy management, Chris has supported CDM Smith’s energy programs and initiatives such as vehicle fleet electrification and beneficial use of digester gas. He enjoys being involved in diverse projects and seeing them evolve from concept to start up.
“The projects I’m most proud of are those that we are able to put our collective ingenuity at work and come up with unique solutions to solve challenges,” says Chris. A specific project he took pride in was when his team took on the challenge of designing a new boiler plant for a hospital that did not have an original boiler plant in the building. He worked with his team to design a boiler room while redesigning the kitchen to ensure that it could still provide food service for the patients in the facility, “It was a great team effort between our constructors, designers, and the client,” Chris details.
