Christopher Mwalwanda, P.Eng.

As a vice president and the national division manager for CDM Smith’s toll finance and technology division, Christopher Mwalwanda has provided advising services in support of more than $17 billion in toll projects while managing more than 50 toll feasibility analyses for numerous state DOTs, toll agencies, regional mobility authorities and private agencies over the past decade of his career.

Based in Austin, Texas, Christopher has extensive experience in managing toll feasibility analyses and travel demand modeling projects for both private and public agencies. He currently supports several managed lane feasibility and financing studies for clients in Texas, Arizona, and California, and has several years of experience in the development and calibration of multimodal models and tolling services.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Christopher is also a member of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike association, and took part in the organization’s Leadership Academy Executive Development Program.
