Dave MacNevin, PhD, PE, LEED® AP 

Advanced water treatment expert Dave MacNevin is inspired by one word: excellence. “I believe that everyone is given certain talents, and it's up to them to make good use of those talents,” he says. “For me, I enjoy solving complex problems by finding unexpected connections, leading to surpris­ingly effective solutions.”

Dave has well over a decade of experience in the testing, design, and imple­men­ta­tion of drinking water and advanced water reuse treatment systems. He is a recognized expert in potable reuse and distri­b­u­tion system water quality with a focus in feasibility studies and design, and he also has a knack for evaluating emerging tech­nolo­gies and utility needs.

His proudest project to date is Palm Beach County's Green Cay Water Purifi­ca­tion project. Dave led a team of engineers to demonstrate advanced water reuse treatments, and he says, “The project was technically demanding, but we developed inventive, effective solutions to meet the client's need. This type of advanced reuse project will be critical for securing future water supplies, so my children's generation can continue to enjoy safe, clean and abundant water supplies.”
