K.D. Warach

K.D. Warach is an accom­plished leader in trans­porta­tion construc­tion management with over two decades of experience. K.D. is well-versed in respon­si­bil­i­ties across his field, including business development, strategic planning, fostering client rela­tion­ships, program management, and overseeing construc­tion projects within the trans­porta­tion sector.

“I learn something new every day,” he says. “Complex construc­tion problems and a drive to make a positive difference in the world keeps me motivated.” As the V.P. CEI discipline lead, K.D.’s favorite part of his job is strate­gi­cally identifying trans­porta­tion projects to pursue, then prepo­si­tion­ing with the client and construct­ing a strong team to win it.

K.D.’s proudest project came before he joined the team at CDM Smith. He worked on the impressive 2.7 billion dollar, 17-mile LBJ Express project in Dallas, Texas that involved the imple­men­ta­tion of dynamic tolling, the rebuilding of lanes, a continuous frontage road system, and 13 miles of express managed toll lanes.
