Matthew Dorfman

Matthew brings nearly two decades of experience in the trans­porta­tion industry to the table. His passion is solving complex problems that concern technology and policy, specif­i­cally in the area of road usage charging (RUC). Prior to his current position, he was a founding partner at RUC consultancy Milestone Solutions.

Matthew draws his inspiration through collab­o­rat­ing with his colleagues and discovering innovative ways that cities, states, and countries are solving their greatest trans­porta­tion challenges. He values helping his team members grow, developing new skills, and furthering their careers. Among the many facets of his role, one that truly resonates with Matthew is witnessing his clients achieve their goals.

While Matthew is proud of all his endeavors, he prides himself on being the project manager for the original California road charge pilot project. “With 5000 participant vehicles, it was the largest pilot project for RUC because it featured many tech­nolo­gies and a large delivery team,” Matthew said. “Many road charging innovations we pioneered in that project have been included in future RUC projects, like the use of native automaker telematics.”
