Scott Wilson

With more than two decades of experience in public policy analysis, Scott Wilson brings a wealth of expertise to the table. His extensive knowledge spans road pricing, tolling, trans­porta­tion policy and strategy, aviation policy and strategy, inter­na­tional policy, and telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions policy and regulation. Scott's decision to become a part of CDM Smith stems from his recognition of the orga­ni­za­tion as the preeminent global leader in advisory services dedicated to revo­lu­tion­iz­ing the trans­porta­tion industry.

One of the aspects Scott treasures most about his role is creating policy solutions that cater to the specific require­ments of each client he works with. He achieves this by actively listening to their concerns and drawing from experience from juris­dic­tions around the world. Scott is most inspired by, "people who have the courage of their convictions to advance change that delivers long term benefits, even if there may be short term skepticism and resistance."

Scott’s proudest project to date is the Auckland congestion pricing study where he provided strategic and technical advice. “It helped developed an innovative, balanced and ground-breaking proposal for an automobile dependent city, to mean­ing­fully reduce congestion and has widespread political acceptance,” he says.
