Zoom Nguyen
Zoom Nguyen is an environmental engineer experienced in efficiently designing, setting up, and conducting treatability studies. He has conducted treatability studies in remediation areas including bioremediation, chemical oxidation, and biogeochemical transformation of chlorinated solvents.
Zoom was recently awarded the 2022 Samuel Arnold Greeley Award, an annual prize for the most impactful research published in the Journal of Environmental Engineering for a winning article, “Desorption of Poly- and Perfluoroalkyl Substances from Soil Historically Impacted with Aqueous Film-Forming Foam,” by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
As an expert in treatability studies, Zoom manages daily operations at the firm’s Bellevue, Washington Research and Testing Laboratory, which includes innovative research into PFAS fate and transport and treatment technologies. For water treatment projects like the successful upgrade of a plant in Ayer, MA, Nguyen leads tests at the bench scale to inform project decisions.
