Dr. rer. nat. Dominic Demand
Dr. rer. nat. Dominic Demand works as a project manager in the field of water and municipal infrastructure. His experience is reflected in a number of heavy rainfall management projects, including the heavy rainfall risk management of the city of Crailsheim or Schwäbisch Hall. As project manager there, Mr Demand created heavy rain hazard maps using hydraulic simulations and developed comprehensive action concepts for the topics of information precaution, municipal land precaution and crisis management. He also designed similarly extensive projects on the risk of heavy rainfall for the Asse II expansion and a holistic risk analysis of the Duhamel mine dump in Saarland.
He is currently responsible for heavy rainfall risk management in Fichtenau, where he can draw on his extensive experience in setting up heavy rainfall hazard maps and project management. In addition, Dominic Demand is involved in award procedures, such as the Northern Black Forest Heavy Rainfall Risk Management, where he provides advice, prepares bid documents and moderates bidder discussions.
His motivation to work at CDM Smith is to solve problems in a meaningful way. Dominic sees the opportunity to make progress and achieve something great through his projects as his most significant incentive. Competence, structure and reliability characterise his working style. It is also characterised by a certain creativity, analysing each project individually, looking for innovative solutions and avoiding hasty assumptions. For him, "listen. think. deliver." means understanding customer problems, finding creative solutions and implementing them effectively.
The diversity of our projects motivates me every day.
