Jessica Beattie, PG, PMP
Jessica Beattie is an associate geologist and senior project manager who has performed hundreds of environmental site assessments, site and remedial investigations, hazardous materials surveys, and technical reviews of environmental reports throughout her over-two-decade career at the firm.
Her specialized experience in investigation methods, including high-resolution sampling that has been used on multiple projects involving the investigation of PFAS contamination in soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment. She was involved in pilot testing of the Surface Active Foam Fractionation (SAFF) technology, a technology that has been demonstrated to remove PFAS in aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) impacted groundwaters and landfill leachates.
She has managed large and small field teams, including subcontractors, and provided technical direction of field activities and review of report deliverables. Jessica is professionally inspired by “working with the talented professionals at CDM Smith and seeing how each of them truly wants to make a difference, whether it be promoting sustainability or trying to make sure people all over the world have access to safe drinking water,” she says.
“I love being able to work on a variety of different projects. Each project has its own challenges and allows me to work with different disciplines within the firm. I find I am constantly learning new things.”
I truly believe we do our best when we work together as a team.
