Michelle Stark, P.E.
Michelle Stark is an electrical engineer with nearly three decades of experience in design, engineering, and construction observation for electrical systems for diverse clients in a variety of industries. Her expertise includes primary and secondary power distribution, power generating systems, power system analysis and protection, energy renewables (including PV Solar, wind, and hydropower), grounding systems, and low voltage systems.
Michelle is currently working with USAID in Lebanon to design solar systems to keep water treatment facilities and pump stations in operation when utility power is unavailable. This ensures that communities have access to clean and drinkable water. In addition, she is working on designing large PV systems and generator systems to bring power to communities that otherwise would not have power. Michelle has a deep connection to her work and is inspired by her own children. “I want to make the world a better place for them. By focusing on renewable energy on many of our projects, by being part of the designs of wastewater and water treatment facilities, I feel like I am making a difference,” she says.
Michelle’s favorite part of her job is the different projects she works on and the challenges they bring. “I enjoy working on teams with other engineers to complete projects. To take ideas, then design them on paper, coordinate with the team, and follow the construction through to the end – seeing the completed project is awesome.”
