Tony Subbio, CEM, CFM, PMP

His expertise includes developing and refining comprehensive emergency and continuity plans, conducting in-depth risk assessments, and implementing effective training and exercises to ensure preparedness across diverse scenarios. He has helped dozens of counties and multiple states develop their mitigation plans for reducing vulnerability to future emergencies and disasters. He has also worked with several communities to recover from past disasters and develop recovery plans to guide the communities after the next disaster.

 

Tony participates in various professional organizations, including the International Association of Emergency Managers, Keystone Emergency Management Association, Association of State Floodplain Managers, several state-level emergency management and floodplain management associations, and the Project Management Institute.  

 

His proudest project was leading the development of a county-level plan responding to active threat incidents for Dutchess County, New York. Tony’s work covered everything from the first 911 call to long-term recovery and honoring those affected by these serious incidents. His impact was undeniable on this project. “We trained 300 firefighters and emergency medical services personnel on the role they could play to aid victims in the cold and warm zones of the incident; this addressed the delay in victim care that resulted in unnecessary loss of life in other active shooter incidents across the country.
