Carsten Werner
Carsten Werner has been working for CDM Smith since 2020, first as Senior Project Manager and now as Senior Consultant. Underground engineering and special heavy construction as well as rock construction are some of his core areas of expertise. As Senior Consultant he is involved from ground investigation or assessment across all planning phases up to site management and construction supervision.
Due to his many years of experience in support structure planning, he also is listed as qualified support structure planner with the Chamber of Engineers of Saxony, Germany.
In roughly 20 years of professional experience, he has succesfully closed over 70 projects. Among these are the currently ongoing projects of redesigning the „Rosensteinufer“ in Stuttgart, six-laning the German autobahn A81 as well as the new construction of the airfield clinical center in Böblingen, to name some of his major milestones.
In his view, CDM Smith’s additional benefit for their clients lies particularly in the interdisciplinary approach to project work. Owing to the firm’s several fields of activity, a wide range of challenges and tasks are being dealt with. At the same time, interfaces for the contractor are being reduced due to our close network that is also ensuring smooth communication and efficient operation.
Those who talk about problems, dread the challenge.
