Peter Vieres
Geologist Peter Vieres has been working in this profession for 30 years, 27 of those years being spent at CDM Smith; he says he has lost count of the number of the brownfield and demolition projects he has worked on. Highlights most definitely include dismantling the Wackenhut factory in Nagold and the Versatel high-rise block in Stuttgart, site management for the federal garden show Heilbronn, and asbestos remediation at power plants belonging to EnBW, the regional power supplier in Baden-Württemberg. After 3 years of working on a major project, Peter Vieres is glad to be working on a variety of demolition projects for various town councils around Stuttgart. Since 2018, Peter Vieres has also been working on the dismantling of three 35 m high coal boilers in a power plant in Baden-Württemberg. The rehabilitation and expansion of building materials containing KMF and asbestos are of particular importance here. He likes to grill and cook.
