Eric J. Silverman, PE

“We are extremely passionate about the work we do. There is no problem we cannot solve for our clients,” says Eric Silverman, senior automation/instrumentation and controls engineer and leader of CDM Smith’s automation group in the northeast U.S. 

Having spent over two decades with the firm, Eric has project experience including all aspects of system integration, such as project management, networking/communications, control system design/specification, programming, system implementation, cost estimation, and startup. 

He also has expertise in programmable logic controllers and supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and he has managed numerous automation/I&C projects. 

Eric takes pride in arming the firm with unique and value-added ways to integrate automation into virtual design and construction. “It’s important to make our clients comfortable with technology they will use daily to run their plants,” he says. “I want to build systems and relationships that will last for years to come.”
