Jim Meyer, PE
Jim Meyer has over four decades of experience in refining petrochemical, chemical, power generation and industrial facilities, and is a principal engineer and expert in piping for oil. As a seasoned program manager, he has coordinated the piping analysis and professional development to meet a variety of piping code requirements.
Jim is also recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and his involvement has spanned almost four decades and has led to leadership positions on numerous ASME Codes and Standards. He was honored with the 2021 ASME Forever Medal for Excellence in Piping, as well as the 2022 Dedicated Service Award from the ASME.
His favorite part of his job is “teaching others and finding new ways to solve problems,” he says. On his past projects, Jim has work experience involving major oil refineries, petrochemical plants, fossil, nuclear, solar and alternative energy generation, as well as cryogenic and vacuum test facilities.
Jim has worked across the U.S. into Canada and Mexico, and has served as a member of ASME since 1978.
