Matthew C. Trzcinski, PE
“I’m inspired by applying private sector project delivery methodologies to the municipal water treatment industry,” says desalination discipline leader Matt Trzcinski. He brings a wealth of knowledge to his role, with nearly three decades of engineering and project management experience from the consulting and equipment supplier POV.
Matt leverages his knowledge of developing and applying membrane technologies to water treatment processes to help clients reach resilience in their water operations, and throughout his career, he’s worked across the municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors. Matt has contributed to multiple significant projects such as the Appomattox Gulf of Mexico Semi-Submersible Deep-Water project, phases 1 and 2 of the Newark Desalination Facility in Newark, California, and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Facility in El Paso, Texas, which is currently the largest inland desalination plant in the U.S.
As a returning employee to the firm, Matt says, “I want to be a part of a world-class team. I appreciate the professionalism and technical expertise CDM Smith brings.” And, as a seasoned pro in desalination, he enjoys sharing his lessons learned through his years navigating the field, adding, “I love mentoring younger engineers and seeing their excitement to learn.”
