Michael Lemme

“I’m inspired by finding solutions to technical problems,” says Michael Lemme, discipline leader of design technology at CDM Smith. With over two decades of experience in the trans­porta­tion sector, Michael has concen­trated his expertise in bridge inspections and design, load capacity deter­mi­na­tion, and reha­bil­i­ta­tion.

Before his time at the firm, Michael helped progress many projects for trans­porta­tion agencies in New York: New York State Department of Trans­porta­tion, New York State Thruway Authority and New York State Bridge Authority, to name a few.

Michael’s proudest project to date was his involvement in the New York State Department of Trans­porta­tion Region 1 Bridge Inspection Contract – a project dedicated to enhancing bridge safety. During this project, he served as a quality control engineer and was able to make recom­men­da­tions for improve­ments in the inspection software, as well as contri­bu­tions to the state’s inspection manual.
