Meet the presenters and Sky Wave team:
Brendan Brown is a professional wetland scientist with over 18 years of experience in environmental data collection. He has extensive experience in assessing various ecosystems including wetlands, upland forest, seagrass, mangroves, and salt marshes. Brendan is the principal investigator of numerous R&D projects leveraging machine learning and remote sensing to assess environmental systems. He leads Sky Wave at CDM Smith.
Drew Reicks is a geospatial data scientist with over eight years of experience. He leads Sky Wave’s remote sensing and machine learning applications. His experience includes analysis of geospatial data; remote sensing; and tool, process, and model development. He specializes in using Python to automate and model complicated processes. He is also an FAA licensed part 107 drone pilot.
Amy Kopale is a GIS professional with experience in geospatial data management and analysis. Her project work often involves leveraging open source and commercial data to better understand and solve human-environmental problems. She is experienced in remote sensing principles and applications, including lidar and multispectral data analysis.
