Bryan L. Cully, PE, PMP

“I’m inspired to find solutions for clients that go well beyond engineering and positively impact the clients I care deeply about,” says senior civil engineer Bryan Cully.

To those who have worked with Bryan, he’s known as a master of project delivery. He knows how to establish skilled design teams, work with state and federal permitting agencies, connect with key community decision makers and collaborate with local contractors to deliver results that are on time and on budget—often exceeding clients’ expec­ta­tions.

Among Bryan's most notable projects is his work as project director for the Clean Water 2020 program in Columbia, South Carolina. This effort involved non-invasive inspection facilitated by acoustics for sewer pipes. Acoustics were used to monitor system blockages, using different tones of sound waves to uncover the rate and severity at which pipe blockages occurred. Thanks in part to Bryan’s leadership, the program is trans­form­ing the city to make it stronger and smarter for the future.

Bryan has spent his entire profes­sional career, over two decades, with the firm. “I started my time at CDM Smith with an internship and have never wanted to leave! I enjoy the ever-increasing oppor­tu­ni­ties and respon­si­bil­i­ties I’ve been given and love working closely with clients to solve their complex problems,” he says.
