“My favorite part of my job is learning from and mentoring co-workers as well as clients that have a wide range of experience and knowledge in this industry,” says Gary Hazen, remedial feasibility studies discipline leader. “My role and my expertise in federal remediation programs has further enhanced my opportunities for learning and mentoring with others both internally and externally.”
Gary has experience in performing investigations, engineering reports and studies, remedial designs, and remediation of contaminated sites. His field experience includes drilling using various methods; well installation, development, and rehabilitation; surface water, groundwater, soil and sediment sampling.
His expertise has not gone unnoticed- Gary has been awarded the 2014 President's Award for Mentorship, the 2015 Thomas Camp Award and the 2019 USEPA Region 10 Howard Orlean Excellence in Site Reuse Award. He has also coordinated, authored, and co-authored many types of CERCLA and RCRA investigative and engineering reports including investigation and interim measures work plans, remedial investigations, and more.
