John has a broad array of experience in water reclamation, biosolids/bioenergy, and water reuse. He serves as a technical lead on several strategic projects, such as water reclamation facility expansions, wastewater surveillance programs, industrial pretreatment, and water reuse planning.
John is active in R&D and has supported development of user-friendly digital tools to analyze complex wastewater data and predict pollutant removal via advanced treatment trains. One of his favorite projects was as technical lead for the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Wastewater Surveillance Program. The program helped collect and manage data for thousands of wastewater samples, supporting LDH’s efforts to mitigate the impact of respiratory illness on the community.
John chose CDM Smith because of the firm’s technical excellence and commitment to solving emerging issues with creative solutions. “Our clients often face challenges where technical solutions must balance costs, societal impacts, and various other factors,” he explains.
