Cannon F. Silver, PE, PMP
Cannon Silver, senior environmental engineer, has three decades of experience in site investigations, feasibility studies, technology evaluations, remedial design, construction oversight, remedial system operations, and optimization under CERCLA/Superfund, RCRA and state programs.
He has extensive experience serving in engineering and project management roles, as well as interacting with regulators and public stakeholders. Cannon’s areas of technical expertise include innovative groundwater, sediment, and vapor treatment technologies and sustainability.
Recently, Cannon has worked on projects advancing the use of permeable reactive barriers to treat contaminated groundwater and conducting optimization evaluations on military bases, demonstrating expertise in the areas of remedial technologies and sustainability. He is part of CDM Smith's multi-disciplinary climate resilience leadership team, specializing in climate resilience solutions for remediation, ensuring that climate risk is understood and climate resilience is incorporated to the extent possible.
He has also worked to facilitate the cleanup of coastal areas impacted by active sources of excessive nitrates, promoting sustainability in the communities where he works. His favorite part of his job is “contributing to a cleaner world.”
