Dan Cogan, PE, PMP
With a rich background in construction engineering for both the public and private sectors- over three decades- Dan Cogan provides a unique and invaluable skillset to the CDM Smith team. As the practice leader for the firm, Dan serves as a licensed PE in nine states while managing CEI services in several other states.
Dan’s diverse skillsets lie in business development and marketing, scope implementation and budget adherence, quality assurance and review, client management, development, and coordination, project management, as well as general business management and staff development.
One role Dan serves is as principal-in-charge for the Georgia Department of Transportation’s District 4 (Tifton) contract as well as Georgia’s Clayton County on-call CEI services contract, overseeing a five-year program’s $300 million worth of construction costs spread over 21 project types.
