Dan Cogan, PE, PMP

With a rich background in construc­tion engineering for both the public and private sectors- over three decades- Dan Cogan provides a unique and invaluable skillset to the CDM Smith team. As the practice leader for the firm, Dan serves as a licensed PE in nine states while managing CEI services in several other states.

Dan’s diverse skillsets lie in business development and marketing, scope imple­men­ta­tion and budget adherence, quality assurance and review, client management, development, and coor­di­na­tion, project management, as well as general business management and staff development. 

One role Dan serves is as principal-in-charge for the Georgia Department of Trans­porta­tion’s District 4 (Tifton) contract as well as Georgia’s Clayton County on-call CEI services contract, overseeing a five-year program’s $300 million worth of construc­tion costs spread over 21 project types.
