Dr.-Ing. Matthias Wittenberg, PE, PMP, BC.​WRE, REM

Matthias is a senior water resources engineer with extensive experience in the planning, design, and opti­miza­tion of wastewater collection and treatment systems. “I am driven by the excitement of being tasked with a challenging project and then exceeding client expec­ta­tions,” he says. 

Matthias brings special expertise related to climate adaptation and master planning of wastewater collection systems including data management, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, resilient pump station design, and storage tank capacity evaluation. 

“I love collab­o­rat­ing on projects to develop long lasting solutions tailored to our client’s needs,” says Matthias. His favorite experience was serving as project manager for the HRSD Climate Change Planning Study. He was able to engage different practices, discipline leaders and experts at CDM Smith to develop and deliver a leading-edge approach to flood resiliency and climate change planning that is adaptable for use by many wastewater utility clients.
